Virtual Patient and Family Advisors

Duke Health patient and family advisors are volunteers who help improve the patient and family experience at Duke hospitals and clinics. We provide patient and family perspectives on patient care initiatives, projects, programs, and facilities. We hope you’ll join us. This opportunity to engage with Duke Health staff and leadership is open to patients and family members 18 years old and older. No medical background is required.

Virtual Patient Family Advisory Councils

Patient and family advisors represent the patient and family voice and experience based on both location and care area. Opportunities are available across the health system in the following areas:

  • Duke Health Integrated Practice (specialty clinics)
  • Duke HomeCare & Hospice
  • Duke Primary Care/Duke Urgent Care
  • Low back pain
  • Neuroscience
  • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
  • Oncology

Duke Health Listens

Duke Health Listens is an online community where you can offer direct feedback to help providers and staff create the best experience possible in Duke Health hospitals and clinics. Everyone ages 18 and older can be a member and receive invitations to participate in short, online surveys and polls that will help us better understand your healthcare needs and how we can meet them.
