The Duke Electroconvulsive Therapy Clinic offers safe and effective treatment from a team of specialists that include psychiatrists and nurses trained in electroconvulsive therapy. Our clinic includes treatment and recovery rooms where you’ll be monitored during your outpatient care. A psychiatrist must refer you to us for treatment.

Electroconvulsive therapy is effective for people with treatment-resistant psychiatric and medical conditions and is a clinically proven, safe process that uses a machine to induce seizures in order to improve brain function for people with certain treatment-resistant disorders.
We use state-of-the-art technology to provide individualized care specific to your needs. People who receive treatment at our clinic will receive personalized care plans after a consultation with our providers.
