Rev. Adrian L. Dixon, D. Min, Director of Duke Raleigh and Duke Regional Hospitals' Chaplain Services and Education
Adrian is active in the Raleigh community and speaks in various settings about the role of chaplaincy and ethics. He helped develop Duke Raleigh's chaplain services program and acted as a clinical chaplain before taking on his current role. He is an ordained Advent Christian minister and holds memberships with the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education, the Association of Professional Chaplains, and the North Carolina Chaplain's Association. Amy Canosa, M. Div., CPE Program Manager for Duke Raleigh and Duke Regional Hospital
Amy is an ACPE-certified educator by the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education and endorsed by the Alliance of Baptists. Amy brings a passion for equity and inclusion to her work and has served as a DEI leader in several settings. Donovan Waller, M. Div., CPE Certified Educator
Donovan is an ordained minister in the Trinity Full Gospel Fellowship and endorsed as a chaplain by the Chaplaincy of Full Gospel Churches. He completed an internship, residency, and ACPE-certified educator training at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta. Mia Hutchins-Cabibi
Mia is a Chaplain and Certified Educator Candidate with a heart for justice and a passion for liberating transformative education. Mia has spent her international career in various positions across the fields of victim support, pastoral care, and public health. She holds a Masters of International Public Health from the University of Queensland and a Masters of Divinity from Duke. She is a Certified Palliative Care Chaplain and Certified Teacher for the Community Resiliency Model. Bob Beichner Senior Clinical Administrative Chaplain
Bob is a board-certified chaplain who has been a "Care Ambassador" at Duke Raleigh since 2005. He also volunteered at Duke and worked as a full professor at NC State University. Since then, he retired from NCSU, attended seminary at Duke Divinity School, and completed CPE training at Duke Raleigh and UNC-Rex Hospitals. Since 2017 he has been employed as a chaplain for our patients, families, and staff. Bob has two BS degrees, an MS, an MDiv, and a PhD. He is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and is a member of the Association of Professional Chaplains and the North Carolina Chaplain’s Association. Cassidy Padgett, M.Div., Senior Clinical Administrative Chaplain
Cassidy is a graduate of the Duke Raleigh CPE Residency program where she served primarily in the ICU. She received her Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. She is seeking ordination and endorsement through the Alliance of Baptists.Email Cassidy.
Patricia Pittman
Patricia joined Chaplain Services in 2018. She has been with Duke Raleigh since 2003 and previously held positions in the office of the President and Human Resources before joining Chaplain Services. In addition to supporting Chaplain Services, she also supports Duke Raleigh’s Rehab Clinics.
