At Duke, we understand that being in the hospital can be a stressful experience. That’s why we take steps to make your hospital stay as pleasant as possible, from providing you with a comfortable, restful environment to treating you with courtesy, dignity and respect.
To help us ensure that patients are pleased with their treatment, we participate in a nationwide survey that measures how satisfied patients are with their care. The survey asks patients at hospitals across the nation what they liked -- and didn’t like -- about their hospital care.
The survey, called HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems), includes questions about different aspects of the patient's care experience. Select results from the HCAHPS survey are available on this site.
You can also access complete results for Duke and compare our patient survey scores with those of other hospitals at www.medicare.gov/hospitalcompare/.
