General Pediatric Care
Our pediatricians, adolescent medicine specialists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants provide comprehensive care to infants, children, and adolescents.
Pediatric Services for Infants, Children, and Adolescents
- Well-child care, routine check-ups, and sick visits
- Annual physicals, school physicals, and sports physicals
- Immunizations, including newborn and school-age vaccinations, and annual flu shots for children over six months
- Hearing, vision and developmental screenings
- Ongoing care for conditions such as allergies, asthma, and diabetes
Lactation Counseling
Our certified lactation consultants share guidance on all aspects of breastfeeding and assist with breastfeeding concerns. Our clinic has a private space for breastfeeding families.
Child Abuse and Neglect Services
Located at Duke Children's Primary Care North Durham, the Duke Child Abuse and Neglect Medical Evaluation program team follows national guidelines for the medical evaluation of alleged sexual abuse, physical abuse, and neglect. Children are referred to our clinic by medical providers, child protective services, law enforcement, and other agencies. Visits include a child-centered physical exam, any needed testing for infections, and a patient interview with a medical social worker for children ages 3 and up. Our care team will offer medical and/or mental health referrals as needed.

Because our electronic medical records system is accessible to every doctor and every facility at Duke, your child's medical record will be easily shared with his or her entire care team.

My Duke Health (previously Duke MyChart)is our easy-to-use online patient portal that helps you manage your health care online. My Duke Health gives you secure access to view your test results, schedule appointments, request prescription refills, and communicate with your care team.

Duke Health contracts with most major health insurance carriers and transplant networks, including the ones listed below. Before scheduling your appointment, we strongly recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the Duke Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any co-payments, co–insurances, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with Duke, your out of pocket liability may be higher.
