I perform comprehensive eye exams, ranging from routine glasses to diagnosing and managing acute and chronic eye conditions. I also treat emergency care conditions, such as red eye or sudden changes in vision. I direct patients to any specialty care that they may need. I also co-manage care before and after eye surgeries. I screen for and manage all stages of eye disease, such as dry eyes, cataract, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and other retinal conditions. My approach is to build a long-term partnership with the patient, their family, and their health care team. When a patient comes into my practice, I listen to the patient’s concerns and answer any questions they may have. I educate the patient so they fully understand their care options so they can make informed decisions about their ocular health. What continues to inspire me every day is the immediate happiness I feel from helping someone with their vision. Whether it is a patient seeing better after a new ocular prescription or more advanced procedures, life changing improvements for patients inspire me every day. I’m originally from Durham, North Carolina. Outside of clinic, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
