About Me
My passion lies in creating a safe space in the clinic environment to help young people achieve emotional and physical well-being. I believe in a strengths-based approach to working with youth and their caregivers by starting with what is working well. My clinical interests are in cardiometabolic (blood pressure, blood sugar, hormones) and reproductive health (menstrual physiology, birth control, healthy relationships, and healthy decision-making). I care for patients in the adolescent to young adult age range. I love to collaborate with community and academic care providers to advance health services delivery for adolescents and young adults.

Clinical Focus and Research
My core research interests are in understanding how the social environment and stresses in everyday life affect physical and emotional health starting in childhood and continuing into adulthood. I also want to understand how the social environment contributes to similar health conditions that occur across generations of families. My goal is to partner with families and communities in develop resources for youth to buffer stressors and highlight strengths.
