My Locations
About Me
I am in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a sub-specialist in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. I take care of women with pelvic floor disorders. That includes women who suffer from disorders related to childbirth and disorders resulting from aging of the pelvic floor including pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence and bowel leakage. My father was an academic obstetrician and gynecologist and through my life that served as a role model for me. As I got older I became more exposed to others in the field of OBGYN and enjoyed being around them. I was fascinated by the conditions that span from childbirth to the end of a woman's life. I enjoy helping treat conditions that may be embarrassing and not typically discussed at the dinner table. Women tend to defer their own care in favor of their family members while suffering from these conditions of quality of life despite adequate treatment options.

Ratings and Reviews
The ratings and reviews are based on patient responses to the overall provider rating question from the survey. The question reads: “Using any number from 0 to 10, where 0 is the worst provider possible and 10 is the best provider possible, what number would you use to rate this provider?” Responses are converted to a 5-point rating system and applied consistently to all providers. Learn more about our survey process. Patients who see some types of providers receive a different version of the patient satisfaction survey. Those results are not available on DukeHealth.org.
