About Me
I see a wide variety of patients, including those with hand, wrist, forearm and elbow injuries and trauma. I also treat those with chronic problems stemming from overuse and hand and wrist arthritis, as well as sports injuries of the hand and wrist. I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and the creativity and technical skill involved in surgery. My approach to care involves trying to understand the patient’s lifestyle needs and working to restore their quality of life. I am very passionate about what I do, and I try to make sure my patients feel that passion as well. I grew up in a family with many professional football players. When I was 15 years old, I decided to become an orthopaedic surgeon so I could help athletes like those in my family. However, I’ve realized that I enjoy the diversity that comes with seeing all different types of patients. In addition to being a diehard professional football fan, I spend time with my husband and children and enjoy fitness and traveling.

Ratings and Reviews
The Patient Rating score is an average of all responses to care provider related questions on our nationally-recognized Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Learn more about our survey process. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best score. Patients who see some types of providers receive a different version of the patient satisfaction survey. Those results are not available on DukeHealth.org.
