About Me

I became interested in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery due to the positive impact that this type of surgery can have on women’s lives. Women can now have surgeries that in the past would have required several nights in the hospital as an outpatient procedure via robot-assisted laparoscopy, conventional laparoscopy, minilaparotomy and hysteroscopy. My approach to patient care is based on the understanding that each woman I see is an individual with different medical needs, values and concerns. Together we will collaborate to find the best and most appropriate plan for her whether that be surgical or medical management. I have focused my clinical interests on the surgical and medical treatment of uterine fibroids, abnormal and postmenopausal bleeding, ovarian cysts, endometriosis and finding alternatives to hysterectomy. I have a particular interest in robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery for myomectomies and complex hysterectomies.

Ratings and Reviews

The Patient Rating score is an average of all responses to care provider related questions on our nationally-recognized Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Learn more about our survey process. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best score. Patients who see some types of providers receive a different version of the patient satisfaction survey. Those results are not available on DukeHealth.org.
