About Me
I see patients with chronic liver diseases. I have a clinical and research interest in metabolic dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease, formerly known as nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. I am interested in identifying patients at high risk for MASLD, who as a result can develop liver inflammation, liver scarring, and cirrhosis. My passion is to develop care pathways for patients with MASLD and liver fibrosis to specialty care, create sustainable multidisciplinary and lifestyle programs and provide therapeutic options on the horizon. I also have expertise in the medical management of obesity that I incorporate into my liver practice to care for my patients with liver diseases.

Areas of Expertise
Ratings and Reviews
The ratings and reviews are based on patient responses to the overall provider rating question from the survey. The question reads: “Using any number from 0 to 10, where 0 is the worst provider possible and 10 is the best provider possible, what number would you use to rate this provider?” Responses are converted to a 5-point rating system and applied consistently to all providers. Learn more about our survey process. Patients who see some types of providers receive a different version of the patient satisfaction survey. Those results are not available on DukeHealth.org.
