When you open My Duke Health, you’ll be prompted to upgrade your password security. You can decline the option, but we recommend you set up two-step verification to keep your information as safe as possible.
Two-Step Verification
Protect Your Personal Information with Multi-Factor Authentication
If you need assistance with this or other functions of My Duke Health (previously Duke MyChart), call customer service at 919-620-4555 or 800-872-6945.
Step 1
Step 2
If you choose to continue setting up two-step verification, you’ll be asked to fill in your email that will be used to verify your identity.
Step 3
Click the “send to my email” button. We’ll email you a verification code that you use as part of your two-step authentication.
Step 4
Enter the verification code from your email.
Step 5
If you want My Duke Health to recognize your device instead of prompting you for a two-step authentication each time you log in, click the “skip this step next time” option. This offers increased protection, but not as much as using the two-step authentication process each time.
If you do not indicate you’re using a private device or use a different device in the future, you’ll be prompted to verify your identity through the email authentication step each time you log into My Duke Health.
