Masks are optional at the in-person Duke Caregiver Community Event. We recommend that anyone experiencing cold-like respiratory symptoms, even after a negative COVID test, continue to wear a mask indoors until symptoms resolve. Please note that any individuals who feel more comfortable continuing to mask should do so, and all members of the community should respect the rights of those who wish to remain masked. Masks and hand sanitizer will be made available to attendees.

In support of improving patient care, Duke University Health System Clinical Education and Professional Development is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), to provide continuing education for the health care team. The designation was based upon the quality of the educational activity and its compliance with the standards and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). In order to receive these CEs you must attend the professional track of sessions and pay the professional attendee fee.

We will provide one pair of prescription eyeglasses for anyone who does not have vision insurance or anyone having trouble accessing vision resources. You must have a valid eye prescription from an eye doctor for this service. Please bring a copy of your prescription in either paper or electronic (picture, PDF, etc.) form to the clinic.

On-site providers will be available to discuss your results with you and reach out to your provider to report your results. Duke Primary Care schedulers will also be on hand to schedule follow-up appointments for you.
