Our specialist in pediatric and adolescent medicine can diagnose and treat issues related to menstruation, sexually transmitted infections, and ovarian disorders like cysts or polycystic ovary syndrome. We also provide guidance and counseling for contraception and birth control.
Receiving care from a gynecologist trained in pediatric and adolescent needs means your child will receive the specialized care they need for their developing bodies. Along with physical exams and testing, our gynecologist can prescribe medication, suggest lifestyle changes to meet needs, or refer you to other Duke providers if additional treatment is needed. If you’re seeking contraception or birth control, we can apply or remove implants like an IUD.

Before scheduling your appointment, we strongly recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the Duke Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any co-payments, co–insurances, or deductibles that will be your responsibility.
