At National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers like Duke Health, you’ll work with breast cancer specialists whose level of expertise can only be found at a few cancer centers in the country.
Comprehensive Breast Cancer Care
Our breast clinic is staffed by breast cancer specialists including surgical oncologists, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists. We also work closely with breast imaging specialists, specially trained nurses, genetic counselors, nutritionists, social workers, and more. Together, we provide the full range of care to diagnose, prevent, and effectively treat breast cancer.
We offer breast cancer risk assessments, surgical, medical and radiation therapy consultations, treatment planning, and ongoing care for:
- Noninvasive breast cancer, such as ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS)
- Invasive breast cancer, including triple-negative breast cancer, hormone-sensitive breast cancer, and HER2-positive breast cancer
- Inflammatory breast cancer
- Metaplastic carcinoma
- Metastatic breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body
- Rare breast cancers such as breast sarcoma, phyllodes tumors, and Paget's disease of the nipple
Breast Cancer Clinical Trials at Duke
Our active research efforts mean you may be eligible to participate in our breast cancer clinical trials, which provide access to new therapies and new ways to treat breast cancer before they are approved.
Breast Reconstruction
If you choose to pursue breast reconstruction, our plastic surgeons will help you understand your options, including the timing of your reconstruction and which technique is best for you.
Ongoing Support During and After Your Treatment
We provide a wide range of support services to you and your caregivers cope with the mental, emotional, and social concerns that may arise during, and in the years after cancer treatment. during and after your treatment. In addition, our nurse navigators may be available to help you coordinate your care.
Specialized Programs to Meet Your Needs

Parking
Duke Medicine Circle Parking Garage:
- Located at 302 Trent Drive and features a climate-controlled, enclosed walkway to Duke Clinic. A free shuttle is located just outside the garage to escort you to the Duke Medicine Pavilion entrance. This parking garage is most convenient for patients and visitors going to the Duke Medicine Pavilion, Duke Cancer Center, and Duke Clinic.
- Cost: $2 per hour or a maximum $12 per day.
Additional Parking Information:
- Parking for oversized vehicles is located adjacent to the Duke University Hospital parking deck. To obtain a pass for an oversized vehicle, call 919-684-7275.
- Valet parking is also available at the entrance to Duke Clinic, Monday - Friday from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm for $14 per visit.
- One-use parking passes ($7 each) and five-use parking passes ($35 each) are available for patients visiting Duke for an appointment, patients in the hospital, and visitors of patients admitted to Duke University Hospital.
- To purchase discounted parking passes, visit an information desk at Duke Central Tower, Duke Medicine Pavilion, the Duke University Hospital entrance, Duke Cancer Center, or Duke Clinic (1st floor main lobby) to obtain a Discounted Parking Authorization Form. You can then go to the parking garage or parking office to purchase the passes. Parking passes expire after one year.

Public Transportation

The closest bus stops are Trent Dr at Duke Hospital South, Duke Hospital, Erwin Rd at Research Dr, and Erwin Rd at Emergency Dr. If you have trouble accessing these routes, visit GoDurham Access and GoTriangle Access to check if you meet the ADA eligibility for accessible transit programs.
