About Me
Within my field of gastroenterology, I have a special interest in acute and chronic liver disease and short gut syndrome. Many of my patients require a liver and / or small bowel transplant and it is extremely rewarding to see the improvement in their health and quality of life after this happens. These patients have to be followed long term and I think that it is extremely important for them and their families to have a good understanding of their disease and what I am thinking regarding their treatment and management options. Having said this, I think that having good communication is a key component of my relationship with patients as a physician. I strive to provide my patients with the best care and I think that being in a medical center like Duke Health allows me to have this opportunity.

Ratings and Reviews
The ratings and reviews are based on patient responses to the overall provider rating question from the survey. The question reads: “Using any number from 0 to 10, where 0 is the worst provider possible and 10 is the best provider possible, what number would you use to rate this provider?” Responses are converted to a 5-point rating system and applied consistently to all providers. Learn more about our survey process. Patients who see some types of providers receive a different version of the patient satisfaction survey. Those results are not available on DukeHealth.org.
