About Me
I am an obstetrician and gynecologist. I mostly see patients along with OB-GYN residents, in my role as an educator. We see patients in the benign gynecology clinic in Duke Clinic and we also see patients offsite, mostly in area health departments. A lot of times we take care of women who don’t have a lot of resources or who have already exhausted resources and they are coming to Duke because we are their only option. As an OB-GYN doctor, you’re catching a woman sometimes at the happiest times of her life and sometimes at the saddest times of her life. I think it’s very important to have an environment where she doesn’t feel judged, and where she feels comfortable sharing any information that you can use to help her feel better and to empower her to seek the care that she needs and do what she can do to contribute to the betterment of her health.

Ratings and Reviews
The ratings and reviews are based on patient responses to the overall provider rating question from the survey. The question reads: “Using any number from 0 to 10, where 0 is the worst provider possible and 10 is the best provider possible, what number would you use to rate this provider?” Responses are converted to a 5-point rating system and applied consistently to all providers. Learn more about our survey process. Patients who see some types of providers receive a different version of the patient satisfaction survey. Those results are not available on DukeHealth.org.
