About Me
As an audiologist, I enjoy working with patients on a daily basis and see firsthand the impact that vestibular (inner ear balance) problems and hearing loss can have on an individual and his/her family. I specialize in assessing whether a patient's dizziness and balance problems are related to the inner ear. My goal is to provide compassionate care to each of my patients. In addition to laboratory testing, I strive to provide information and education that is useful for them to understand the underlying function of the ear and how it contributes to their symptoms.

Ratings and Reviews
The ratings and reviews are based on patient responses to the overall provider rating question from the survey. The question reads: “Using any number from 0 to 10, where 0 is the worst provider possible and 10 is the best provider possible, what number would you use to rate this provider?” Responses are converted to a 5-point rating system and applied consistently to all providers. Learn more about our survey process. Patients who see some types of providers receive a different version of the patient satisfaction survey. Those results are not available on DukeHealth.org.

Clinical Focus and Research
My research interests are broadly focused on improving outcomes and quality of life for patients with dizziness related to vestibular disorders. Specifically, my research focuses on developing and implementing cost-effective screenings, validating streamlined assessments in specialty care settings, and developing novel care pathways for dizziness. Each of these areas focuses on optimizing identification in an effort to direct patients to appropriate rehabilitation and treatment.
