About Me
My clinical and research interests focus upon strategies to predict, prevent, and treat diabetes mellitus and its complications. I am a board-certified endocrinologist and a professor of medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Nutrition at Duke University. I am also a faculty member of the Duke Clinical Research Institute and served as chief of the Endocrinology section at the Durham VA Medical Center from 2003-2017.
