I am interested in better understanding asthma and airway diseases in children and better ways to treat these major problems. My wife, who is also a pediatrician at Duke, and I have three kids of our own.

Clinical Focus and Research

My Research Interests

My research interests include prevention of bronchopulmonary dysplasia, the factors leading to the inception of early asthma, how viral infections affect asthma, the effects of obesity in asthma, co-morbid conditions which affect children with asthma, and the use of "big data"/health record data in pediatric research.
