About Me
Growing up, I always had an interest in science. Early on, I actually considered becoming a veterinarian because I love animals. However, after having more experience in the veterinary field as well as in medicine, I was drawn to taking care of people. Women’s health provides a unique opportunity in medicine to interact with patients throughout different stages of their life. Obstetrics reflects a particularly exciting time in most women’s lives, and it is an honor to be able to participate in that experience. Duke has several benefits. One is immediate access to top tier clinicians in a variety of subspecialties. Another is that everyone holds themselves to a high personal standard; I’m proud to be a part of that type of work culture. I spend most of my time outside of work with my family, which includes my husband, twin daughters, a cat, and two dogs. I also love to eat, and I enjoy exploring the excellent restaurants throughout the Triangle.

Ratings and Reviews
The ratings and reviews are based on patient responses to the overall provider rating question from the survey. The question reads: “Using any number from 0 to 10, where 0 is the worst provider possible and 10 is the best provider possible, what number would you use to rate this provider?” Responses are converted to a 5-point rating system and applied consistently to all providers. Learn more about our survey process. Patients who see some types of providers receive a different version of the patient satisfaction survey. Those results are not available on DukeHealth.org.
