About Me
I am a cardiovascular imaging specialist and researcher who has been at Duke for almost 20 years. I come from a family of engineers and my undergraduate degree is in physics and mathematics. As a result, it was a natural fit for me to use my technical background to become a cardiovascular imaging specialist. I have advanced training in the imaging techniques of echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac magnetic resonance, and computed tomography. Specifically, I specialize in caring for athletes who have a known or suspected heart problem and imaging adult patients who were born with a heart problem (adult congenital heart disease). One thing I love about working at Duke is collaborating with a top-notch multidisciplinary team to diagnose and treat patients with heart disease. In my free time, I enjoy sporting events and spending time with my family.

Clinical Focus and Research
My research focus is improving the quality and approach to imaging cardiac patients. Specifically, I have studied methods to assess cardiac ultrasound quality in clinical research. Additionally, I participate in an international collaboration on identifying imaging benefits to patients with cardiac infections. Furthermore, I research ways to optimize diagnostic imaging, in particular, for patients with congenital heart disease.
