About Me
I specialize in treating heart valve disease (affecting the mitral, aortic, and tricuspid valves) and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). My clinical focus emphasizes minimally invasive approaches, particularly transcatheter procedures for valve disorders.
As Director of the Duke Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Clinic (a HCMA recognized Center of Excellence), I oversee comprehensive patient care that encompasses diagnostic evaluation, risk stratification, treatment options, and genetic counseling services. Our clinic maintains a multidisciplinary approach to managing this complex inherited heart condition.
My commitment to advancing cardiovascular medicine includes active research in these conditions, with participation in multicenter clinical trials and Duke-based studies. This involvement ensures that we can offer new treatments to patients with these conditions.
I prioritize providing individualized treatment strategies that align with both established clinical guidelines and patient-specific factors, including personal preferences. My goal is to deliver optimal cardiovascular care tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.

Ratings and Reviews
The ratings and reviews are based on patient responses to the overall provider rating question from the survey. The question reads: “Using any number from 0 to 10, where 0 is the worst provider possible and 10 is the best provider possible, what number would you use to rate this provider?” Responses are converted to a 5-point rating system and applied consistently to all providers. Learn more about our survey process. Patients who see some types of providers receive a different version of the patient satisfaction survey. Those results are not available on DukeHealth.org.
