About Me
I discovered psychiatry when I spent a summer as a camp counselor at a "Serious Fun" camp for kids with chronic illnesses. The impact of mental health on their well-being was astounding. I believe this is true for all of us, even though at times it is difficult to identify or talk about mental health and mental illnesses. As a psychiatrist, I believe that patients and families try the best they can with the tools they have. At times, however, life can become too challenging, and more tools and support are necessary. It is my passion to work alongside families to help them maintain or restore the mental health of themselves and their loved ones and achieve their goals and dreams. Having lived in four different countries, I thoroughly enjoy working with patients from diverse backgrounds and have come to appreciate that everyone's patient's experience is unique.

Clinical Focus and Research
My research is focused on developing and testing interventions that make it easier for patients to get the care they need. Specifically, these include support groups for mothers to reduce stress and anxiety and also online treatments for parents who have children with difficult or oppositional behaviors.
