CONSYDER (Breast Cancer) - Clinical Trial

What is the Purpose of this Study?

We are doing this study to learn how to best support young women making decisions about breast cancer surgery. We want to know what makes women feel uncertain about their decision-making so we can become better at providing the information they need. This study involves testing a web-based decision support tool that is designed to help young women with newly diagnosed breast cancer with their surgical decisions.

What is the Condition Being Studied?

Breast Cancer

Who Can Participate in the Study?

Female adults ages 18-44 who:

  • Are newly diagnosed with Stage 0-3 unilateral breast cancer
  • Do not have cancer in both breasts

What is Involved?

This is a remote study that is done at home. If you choose to join this study, you will fill out surveys before your planned surgery and then again 6 months after your surgery. We will ask a small number of study participants and their surgeons to agree to have their consultation audio recorded (you are welcome to turn down this request and still participate).
