Project HOPE 1000 (Better Understanding Pregnancy) - Clinical Trial
What is the Purpose of this Study?
We are doing the Project HOPE study to better understand the health outcomes of moms and babies. We want to identify factors that contribute to poor birth outcomes, which might include premature both or low birthweight. We also want to learn more about what contributes to positive or negative maternal health outcomes, and longer-term child health and well-being outcomes, including academic achievement and physical development.
Pregnancy in the 1st and 2nd Trimesters
Who Can Participate in the Study?
Adults ages 18+ who:
- Are less than 23 weeks pregnant
- Expect to deliver only 1 baby
- Plan to use a Duke pediatrician after their child is born
For more information, contact the study team at leah.akins@duke.edu.
