Heart transplantation
Ventricular assist device (VAD) implantation
Other cardiac procedures

What is Involved?

If you choose to join this study, you will:

Have heart tissue that is normally thrown away during your heart surgery collected
Have blood samples collected before and after surgery
Have a urine sample collected before and after surgery
Have your medical information collected
