The Parenting with Cancer Meetup will take place at the Duke Cancer Center in Durham.

The gathering is for individuals with cancer and their caregivers who are parents or guardians of young children and/or teens. At this meetup, attendees will have the opportunity to share parenting ideas while learning about child development and how different ages and stages of development can affect a child’s ability to adjust to the changes that cancer brings to your family.

Through conversation and collaboration with one another, the group will explore ways to support children through the uncertainty of cancer. Participants will gain practical suggestions and encouragement for parenting when there is a cancer diagnosis in the home that can create unique challenges.
