About Me
I am a dedicated nurse practitioner specializing in rheumatology, with a particular clinical interest in uveitis. My passion for rheumatology began with a desire to better understand complex autoimmune conditions, which has evolved into a commitment to improving patient care through both clinical practice and research. My research focuses on pain management in people with rheumatic disease, opioid-related care, team-based science, and quality improvement initiatives. I have a strong interest in process improvement work, qualitative and mixed-methods research, and advancing best practices in rheumatology care. As part of my role at Duke Health, I strive to enhance patient access, optimize care delivery, and contribute to innovative approaches in rheumatology and pain management.

Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best score. Patients who see some types of providers receive a different version of the patient satisfaction survey. Clinical Focus and Research
I study pain management in people with rheumatic diseases, focusing on opioid-related care, quality improvement, and team-based approaches to care delivery. My goal is to improve pain treatment while ensuring safe and effective use of medications. I also research ways to enhance access to rheumatology care and optimize patient outcomes through process improvement. By studying these areas, I hope to develop better strategies to support patients in managing their pain and overall health.
