About Me
My love for women's health began when I was a hospital postpartum nurse. I found it rewarding and humbling to care for women during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. I now see women within the specialty of urogynecology for vaginal prolapse, pelvic pain, recurrent urinary tract infections, and urinary incontinence. I also see women for gynecologic needs such as routine gynecological visits, menopause, and sexual health. I am an AASECT Certified Sexuality Counselor. Cancer survivorship is close to my heart, having a background in gynecologic oncology. The effects of cancer and cancer treatment can create distressing gynecological concerns. I can address these issues outside of regular cancer surveillance. I strive to make people feel comfortable by listening and being present as they share very personal concerns. I enjoy collaborating with patients to determine the best evidence-based treatment for them. Outside of work, my interests include yoga, theater, dogs, and spending time with family and friends. I live in Durham with my husband and two children. I am welcoming to LGBTQ+ patients.
