Comprehensive Care for Varicose Veins

We recognize that vein conditions are often associated with quality of life. Many vein clinics treat varicose or spider veins without medical qualifications, and with the emphasis on cosmetic appearance alone. Whether your concerns are purely cosmetic or more complex -- from spider veins to phlebitis (vein inflammation) to challenging leg pain or skin ulcers -- we have the experience, resources, and technology to address all aspects of your vein condition and help you avoid serious complications like blood clots.

Treatments

Our vein experts develop a treatment plan driven by your goals for your appearance and overall circulatory health.

Lifestyle Changes

Many patients benefit from wearing compression stockings to improve blood flow and, in some cases, relieve leg pain. Other recommendations may include weight management, physical activities, physical therapy, or specific exercises.

Sclerotherapy

This in-office procedure treats both spider veins and varicose veins. A tiny needle is used to inject medication into the target vein. This causes the vein to fade or appear lighter in color. It also causes the vein walls to stick together, preventing blood from filling it again, while blood is redirected to healthier veins. This procedure takes about 30 minutes.

Endovenous Laser Ablation and Radiofrequency Ablation

Designed to close large, long veins, these procedures use heat energy to seal the diseased vein shut. After numbing the incision site, your doctor will insert a thin, flexible tube called a catheter, and guide it to the problem vein. As the catheter is slowly removed, a device will heat up the vein and cause it to shut down, rerouting blood through normal veins to drain blood and fluid from the leg. Endovenous laser ablation and radiofrequency ablation are minimally invasive and highly effective. They are performed in a comfortable outpatient setting, usually take less than an hour, and leave no scars.

Tests

Imaging

We use ultrasound imaging and MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) to see your veins in detail and better understand your overall vein health and blood flow. Our duplex ultrasound is specifically designed for this type of imaging. These images help us determine the most effective treatment for you.
